Welcome to the Gautney family home page!
The Beginning... Angie was born Angela Kay Taylor on May 2nd, 1971. Her parents, Wayne and Jeanette Taylor, moved their family to Louisville, Kentucky with CSX Transportation. Angie won a full presidential scholarship to Western Kentucky University through her participation in the Junior Miss program. In 1990, the Taylors were able to return to Mobile. We were introduced by Angie's aunt, Joyce McDonald. We were married on March 12th, 1994 at Travis Road by Rev. Alben Gaston. We took a five day cruise to Cozumel, Mexico and Key West, Florida on the Regent Rainbow cruise ship! After we returned home, we moved into our apartment. |

A week after our second date, I went to Buchanan, Michigan to join Life Action Ministries. Life Action is a revival ministry involving teams of travelling singers and children's workers. God had led me to apply for the ministry before I met Angie. For the next two years we would become closer through many phone calls, letters, and "care packages."
After asking her parents for permission to marry Angie, I popped the question on June 20th of 1993. We began planning for the Wedding and in August, I began my ministry at Travis Road Baptist Church as "Associate Pastor in Children & Special Ministries."
These are our precious little gifts from the Lord! Caleb Brian
Gautney was born September 29th, 1995 and he weighed 9 lbs. 1/2 ounce and was 21 inches
long. He loves HotWheels cars and dinosaurs (what boy doesn't?) and he wants to have
his next birthday party at a farm with lots of animals! Hannah Taylor Gautney was born June 20th, 1997 with a cleft lip and palate. We were so shocked at first, but after two major surgeries to repair her lip and nose, she is a cutie-patootie! Mom and Dad are also seasoned experts at dealing with hospitals and insurance companies! We are so glad that God gave us one of His special ones to love! |
